We are sad to announce that after singing with us since the very beginning, Mike Craddock will be leaving The Gesualdo Six in the spring. He has been a wonderful friend and colleague, and we will all miss him being a part of the team.
Here’s a word from Mike:
“The decision to leave G6 is not an easy one – if you’d have told 22-year-old me that I would have the opportunity to spend the next decade making wonderful music all around the world with my friends, I would have bitten your arm off. However a little change is no bad thing – there’s a lot of music out there in the world and I’m excited to explore some of the parts of it that are harder to convincingly pull off as an a cappella sextet. It has been a wonderful journey giving over 400 concerts to amazing audiences and with brilliant singers, and I’m excited to see where the group goes next. I’ll be first in line for the 2035 performances of English Motets on Mars!”
Mike will continue to sing with us over the festive period and into 2025. We are now looking for a new singer to join the team – further information can be found here.
We wish Mike the best as he continues his career, and will still pester him for quiz answers (he’s a walking encyclopaedia) and restaurant recommendations.
